The fruits (...) of two testing sessions for two lime-green modules recently added to the Audioholistics system. These modules are independent designs and builds bearing faceplates made of 3D-printed PLA plastic, following in the ethos of what Tatsuya Takahashi has called "the democratisation of synthesis," making analog synthesizers accessible and affordable to the general public, rather than just engineers and musicians. The two modules explored here are perhaps the most basic building blocks of an analog synth - an AS3340 "Curtis chip" oscillator, and a LM13700 state-variable filter, and these recordings were meant to not only test the two machines for posterity, but to enjoy the sound of these "simpler" tools with a minimum of external augmentation.
