I love Manson a lot, especially the Holy Wood and the The Golden Age of Grotesque era, I found comfort in a lot of the culture he helped create and felt less alone learning about him and his lifestyle. Heaven Upside Down and the Say10 song was the first time I got excited about his music again. Singing along to Use Your Fist and Not Your Mouth always made me think I could do his raspy voice just like him if I wanted to long before I ever tried to properly make music, and I remembered those times so I gave it a shot now that I could. I literally just named the filename "marilyn" as a placeholder for the title. I wasn't proud of it at all at first, in fact I hated it, but later I changed my mind about it and thought working on this song was the first time I felt like I actually did the best I was able to with the mix. Up until the last few days this song was in fact named "I Made This Album Just To Spite You" but I figured it was too edgy to leave it like that so I changed it with a song name I had in my notes from 2019 when I wrote down possible song names for witch house tracks.
