Whispering wind brought forth the thundering
beat of hooves, ripping the silent night
Moment lasted so long, as we laid in wait
to meet the unrecognised foe
In the times of war, when the pawns on the chess table
clash without rest, it us - the mob of the poor
who pay in blood and death price not of our own
With the sound of the horn they began their descent
through the crops and the lands which our fathers have grown
Putting the fields on fire and folk to the sword

Without hesitance
Razed from existence
Gods of war demand
Blood to soak the grounds

Savage host struck down with unrivalled might
tearing the ramparts down
The flames grew higher as the remnants of night
began to give its way to the rays of light -
sharp as the knives that tore us apart
amidst the cinders glistening so bright
Facing our fall, end of us all,
The forthcoming dawn brought no respite

Skies filled with cries
Yet no man shed a tear
Countless lives were falling like flies
Under the orders of the foreign king
Blood drenched the streets
Glowing timber sung with woe
From brimstone and night
They emerged to fight
The enemy - The Horde

Smouldering ruins of once blooming land
stood wrecked, in ghastly silence
torn by the swings of the blade brought down
upon the ones who were yet to fall
Those who were spared from the sword gripping hand
found their fates to be served in chains -
Shackled and thrown, into the crackling carts
headed far away from home
With a mighty roar, the force set off to the west,
where the next village rests in the forests of old
Unaware of the fate that awaits them to befall
With the thundering beat of the rolling stampede
rode the sinister wind with whispers untold
of lands put to the fire and folk slain by the sword
