Invisibility by Neal Miner
I’d like to introduce the very first recording of my trio on Cellar Live! I am extremely proud to be accompanied by the supreme talents of Chris Byars on tenor saxophone and Jason Tiemann on drums. We play original music that I have been writing over the past 30 years, mostly contrafacts over classic American standard songs. Being a chordless trio gives us a chance to be free and use counterpoint and rhythm to create our sound and vision. We sincerely hope you enjoy our musical conversations.

Raised in Manhattan, Neal attended the Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of classical bassist, Orin O’Brien of the NY Philharmonic & Jazz bassist John Webber.
Neal has accompanied, recorded and toured with a host of New York City’s top jazz musicians, and leads his own trio featuring Chris Byars and Jason Tiemann.
