Ashes by Metaphysical Horror

This is a concept album based on the depressed mood that all people experience to one degree or another.

The study of melancholic mood is important because it is part of the human experience. Understanding this state helps us to better understand ourselves and the world around us. Ignoring melancholy can lead to suppression of emotions and negative consequences for mental health.

It must be remembered that melancholy, like any other emotional state, requires balance. It is important to be able to recognize its signs, but also not to forget about the positive aspects of life and joy.

1. Wonder - Prologue

Introduction. The feeling of anxiety and meaninglessness that arises when realizing the infinity of time, space and one's own existence.

2. Ashes

Ashes symbolize the fading of passion, low mood and lack of joy. The ashes also reflect a sense of loss and disappointment, which are often associated with melancholy. This metaphorical image allows you to visualize the longing and sadness that can engulf a person during periods of melancholy. Like ashes, melancholy can create a feeling of fading and loss of brightness of life.

3. Remains

The remains fill the heart with longing when looking at abandoned places where laughter and noise once sounded, but now only the echo of the past reminds of a life gone into oblivion. It's like a ghost wandering among the ruins, reminding of bygone times and lost moments.

4. The Tower

5. Metaphysical Horror

Metaphysical horror is a concept that commonly refers to the fear of the unknown, unknowable, or supernatural. These types of frightening can also be associated with nations about the infinite, the absurd or even mysterious nature of existence.

6. There Is No Sun

A dark, depressed state in which a person feels the absence of a bright future or hope for improvement. The image of despair and pessimism, when everything around seems devoid of brightness.

7. Poisoned

Traumas, memories and thoughts that disturb a person. Memories that poison life. Memories that are better to forget.

8. Citrine

Unlike the previous track, Citrine symbolizes warm and joyful memories of a golden time when happiness reached its peak, replaced by endless gray days. In person's memory it looks like a citrine stone among dirty cobblestones.

9. The Abyss

The abyss is used as a metaphor for depression. It symbolizes the feeling of helplessness, sense of loss and lack of hope, despair and isolation that often accompany depression. The abyss is emptiness, darkness, and an irresistible sense of heaviness.

10. Epitaph

Epitaph is an inscription on a tombstone or monument dedicated to the deceased. This is a short text that may contain a poetic description or memories of a person, an expression of condolences or wishes for a peaceful memory. The epitaph in this context symbolizes the inevitability of death.

11. Forever Forgotten

Epilogue. It was forgotten forever, disappeared forever from people's memory or attention, remained in the past with no hope of memories or attention in the future. The world is changing very fast, and sooner or later everything will be forgotten forever.
