Impressions by Marcello De Francisci
‘Impressions’ began as an introspective demo for a film that Marcello De Francisci was asked to compose for inspired by the work of director David Lynch. At the time the film was in its initial stages and never came to fruition, regardless these cues ended up turning into a full blown album, which touches upon the esoteric, profound, at times somewhat dark, which could be labeled as ‘Noir’.
Some of the haunting melodies comprised in this series allude to the presence of being in or under water.

Marcello De Francisci is a film composer, recording artists and album producer who joined forces with world-renowned singer Lisa Gerrard (‘Dead Can Dance’ band member & Golden Globe winner for co- composing the score to ‘Gladiator’ alongside Hans Zimmer) and both co-wrote the music for numerous film projects, in addition, worked on two solo albums titled ‘Departum’, and its successor ‘Exaudia’.
