UK electronic duo Lyndhurst — Oscar Ball and Dan Carney — release their debut album, ‘Tapes’, on September 5th, 2025.

The two six-track EPs they have released to date - ‘Platforms’ (2023) and ‘Caves’ (2024) - introduced their persuasive mix of electronica, post-rock, lo-fi psychedelia, and cinematic textures, gaining repeated airplay on BBC 6Music, RTÉ, and a host of underground radio shows. ‘Platforms’ also featured in Bandcamp’s “New & Notable” section.

‘Tapes’ showcases Lyndhurst’s seamless blend of acoustic and electronic elements with glitched rhythms, as well as their uncanny ability to balance infectious hooks and unsettling atmospheres. The album builds on the hypnotic, glockenspiel-driven textures of ‘Platforms’ and the subterranean drones and eerie harmonies of ‘Caves’, while diving deeper into emotional and sonic exploration via intricate layers of re-sampled acoustic instruments, lush electronics, and unobvious rhythmic shifts.

‘Rooms’, the downbeat yet catchy album opener and lead single, combines acoustic warmth with electronic intrigue and whacked-out disco atmospheres, while ‘Seabird’ captures the duo’s more skittish, glitchy side, anxious dancefloor fun bursting with unpredictability and energy. Elsewhere, there’s the rhythmically playful ‘Health Centre’, with its chopped-up vocal snippets and euphoric climax, while tracks such as ‘Bees’ (childishly wonky loops and skewed melodies) and ‘Shinpads’ (a blissed-out sax-driven meditation) demonstrate their more idiosyncratic side, and unwillingness to be too easily defined.

‘Tapes’ will be available on digital platforms and as a limited edition run of 100 numbered CDs from September 5th, 2025. Album pre-orders will commence on July 25th.
