Ished Tree is a solo piano album by Los Angeles pianist Jamael Dean. Ished Tree’s beauty is deep, steady and unembellished. Self recorded July 10th-11th 2020, one hears the sound of a musician engaging in a conversation with the universe in an effort to grasp the true origins of universal harmony, and where musical rhythm and harmony come from. “There was so much happening when I recorded this, so, when I sat down to record, I chose to engage with the universe. I noticed that for each of the 12 ecliptic constellations there is a corresponding tone and geometrical measurement that can be better understood through music. This can also be understood to reveal the true nature of life and unification.”
