This is not a typical Innesti album.
Most of my music is created from a mixture of electronic instruments and field recordings, mixed and edited in a DAW. But in 2021 I began exploring the world of eurorack modular synthesis, and thought it would be fun to use the modular system as a self-contained platform for creating hazy, ethereal, and drifting soundscapes. This double-CD album contains a collection of those modular explorations.
Although I occasionally routed guitar samples and field recordings through the system, everything was composed and processed live within the modular system itself; there are no DAW edits. As a result, these tracks may sound a bit raw and unpolished; there are definitely things I would like to change about these tracks--if I could. But, in many respects, that's what I appreciate about these recordings: They represent aural snapshots--fragile and fleeting--that can never be recreated.
