Impuls‘ Symbiose (Dusted Wax Records) is a classic IDM album, agreeable melodies, engaging beats and strong through all ten tracks. The liner notes describe Symbiose as “candy vibes for the ears” and I really can’t disagree with that statement. The sweetness as well as variety of melodies coupled with crisp beats makes this reviewer wonder how Symbiose could be Impuls’ debut release. I am eagerly looking forward to the German artist’s sophomore release.
