I hope you don't mind the hallways always smell like pot,
And there's cars up on blocks in the busted-up parking lot.
Don't go downstairs, if you value what you're told
There ain't no dead bodies or nothin, but it fuckin smells like mold
There's a weird dude down there that's always yelling about bugs,
At least, when he's not complaining that his apartment always floods
But hey, forget about that, step into my abode,
It's way too hot in the bedroom, the living room is always cold
It's always dark in here, even when the sun is out
Free cigarette smoke comes in through the vents, if that’s what you’re about.

The rent is fuckin cheap, and you get what you pay for
But I'm very unemployed, so this is what I can afford
All the sinks and the drains leak, I get them fixed like once a week
I swear the toilet has been cleaned, it looks like shit, it's orange and green
In the dark of night, you might hear some strange sounds
The fuckin neighbor fed the raccoons, so they keep coming around
Building 2 is very near a couple creepy cemeteries,
Everyone in them is dead, so it’s a little bit scary
I'd rather hang with them, than with the living people here though
Like that white trash woman yelling out her window

The property manager is a very nice man,
Some kind of born-again Christian in a motorcycle gang
He's got some interesting theories ‘bout government conspiracies
You should hear him out, cuz he's the man with all the keys
Most dangerous cities? We’re near the top of the list

But I just keep to myself, in my room writing songs
It's just a temporary setback, and it won't be long
