Transparencies by Ian Hawgood & Wil Bolton
Released in May of 2017, this was my first full collaboration with Wil after knowing each other for many years. Wil actually did the package design for my first release as Koen Park '84'85 for October Man Recordings. I was a huge fan of his electronic work as Cheju and his label Boltfish Recordings.
Since then Wil has released celebrated ambient work under his given name and we've had him perform at Home Normal events since the beginning really when we could.
'Transparencies' was a release that was so organic in development. We utilised all sorts of organic instruments alongside Wil's excellet guitar work, and the result was hugely successful as the album sold out upon release on Home Normal which is nice and found quite the audience in Japan.
The cover art was once again done by my friend Hitoshi.
Wil and I will be releasing our follow-up to 'Transparencies' in 2021.
