Primitive Maths by Beau Finley
Primitive Maths is built from simple numerical relationships that become rhythmically tangled. Each instrument is bound to a repeating cycle of fixed length, like gears turning at slightly different speeds. From these strict rules comes a texture of shifting patterns: moments of sudden alignment, long stretches of near misses, and the sensation of time folding back on itself.
I will be adding tracks to this album over time. As I do so, the price will increase $1 per track, but due to the wonders of Bandcamp, you're locked in for all the tracks I eventually add at the price you pay initially. If you have primitive math sequencing ideas that you'd like me to try, feel free to send them my way.
